As its name suggests, Wondershare PDF Editor can help you manage PDF documents in various ways. The application has a nice, tabbed interface, allowing you to access the different functions unmistakably.
The program lets you perform practically everything that is necessary for successful PDF editing. Following the order suggested by the tabs, you will find that you can use it to manipulate such elements as text and images. In addition, you can insert links and bookmarks when needed. It also allows adding form controls, as checkboxes, text fields and dropdown lists. Likewise, you can import or export the data in the forms. Various types of revision marks, such as stamps, notes, watermarks, annotations and highlighting, are also available.
Document structure can be modified by extracting, deleting, cropping and rotating pages. Similarly, you can create new documents by merging various source files. Reversely, long documents can be split into several shorter ones.
Luckily, this program can convert PDF documents into various Microsoft Office file formats (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other popular formats (images, EPUB, TXT, HTML and RTF). This is undoubtedly very useful as converting between formats is a quite recurrent operation. Finally, you can secure your documents by using digital signatures.
In general, Wondershare PDF Editor is an excellent application, which constitutes an alternative for those users who cannot afford more expensive software. Although you can open existing documents, and add pages from either other PDF or text files, you cannot unfortunately create a PDF document from scratch. Moreover, it failed to create new documents from Word files, something that it was supposed to do. I was hoping that it included OCR, but this option requires buying an optional plug-in, which increases its cost.
